VIDA Wellness Center
This program is a social enterprise that provides Oriental medicine, including acupuncture and massage therapy to the South Lawndale and Little Village community, as well as the rest of the Chicagoland area. It is funded through self-pay and in-kind donations.
Unsure on were to go or how to access supportive services? Project VIDA offers free community-based referral assistance to those individuals seeking to access supportive services. These services may include SNAP benefits (food stamps), pubic benefits, healthcare, counseling, etc.
These services include individual and couples counseling to people living with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones, as well as psycho-social individual wellness counseling and HIV support groups in English & Spanish. The services include:
“Esperanza” - Spanish Language Support Group
Weekly on Friday 3-5pm
“The Power of Knowledge” - English Language Support Group
Bi-Weekly: 2nd and 4th Mondays each month 1-3pm
Mental Health Counseling
Individual and couples mental health counseling is available to individuals and their loved ones impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Massage therapy is offered every Wednesday from 12pm to 8pm and avaliable to the public for the low-cost of $45 for a 1 hour full body massage. All massages are provided by a professional and fully licensed massage therapist.
Free ACA Enrollment assistance is avaliable to those individuals in need of health insurance coverage during the ACA Open Enrollment Period and those qualifying for insurance under the ACA Special Enrollment Period criteria. ACA Enrollment Assistance is conducted on an appointment basis.
